Urban Age Award São Paulo
Inclusão Social Urbana Nós do Centro
It is an initiative of the mayor of São Paulo with the European Union and it seeks to strengthen the management model for programs of social inclusion on a large scale in the central districts of the city. It has, as their area of expertise 12 administrative districts, inhabited by about 500 thousand people. These districts, which are part of Subprefecture of Sé and Mooca districts have a population with high social vulnerability and high concentration of "cortiços".
Actions: 10 offices of Social Inclusion, 2 Centers of Reference (for Women and Diversity), 3 Training Centers for Youth and the qualification of Youth 4900. The Office of Social Inclusion (EIS) aimed at expanding the access of the vulnerable population to government departments and non-governmental organizations, the opportunities for generating income and economic development, the social care, psychological and legal, to the socio-educational,professional qualifications.
