„The next urban Economy“ and „City Design, Politics & Transport

The Urban Age Mexico City Symposium was held on Friday September 4, 2009, in the MIDE Museum, in the Historic Center of Mexico City. Marcelo Ebrard, Mexico City’s mayor, opened the event with a keynote.
Urban Age brings city leaders together and offers a platform for academics and practitioners to share experiences with projects and policies that improve our cities.

The Urban Age Symposium will continue the work to establish a new urban agenda for global cities. It is a follow up of the Urban Age Mexico City Conference in 2006 and will engage some of the recent ideas and projects in the realms of transportation, public space and urban development that the city has envisioned. In addition the current economic crisis and its influences will be discussed in order to strengthen and consolidate their economies.
