Restoration of Santa Fe Village's Heritage
Through the recovery of their natural and cultural heritage the community of Santa Fe village is on the process of recovering public space and the social fabric.

The organisation Networks, Mobile Spaces for Art and Culture works on abandoned areas of cultural and natural heritage to use the process of restoration as a way to reinforce the social fabric and promote community engagement among city dwellers. In Santa Fe Village and in alliance with the neighbours, the Bellavista Alley was restored and an open theatre was created. Both have become a safe public space for social interaction in an area hitherto dominated by fear and violence. The reopening of Don Vasco Hermitage has created awareness among neighbours about their collective memory and the workshops carried out have helped to identify the spaces that are important to them and which they wish to recover as public spaces.
